Cheshire Portrait Photography: Children’s Portraits

Since taking pictures of people is generally what I photograph most of all, I thought I best give the new camera a little try out with Josh and my niece and nephew. Plus it allowed me to get a picture of the three of them together which is something my mum really wanted too, and you have to keep your mum happy on Mothers Day now don’t you.

Luckily, they’re all happy to let me take pics of them, but I know I have to work quickly to get the pictures as other things are much more exciting than Dad/Uncle Gareth taking pictures.

As Carol was going to be looking at these, I let the individual shots of Josh until the next day, so we could surprise her with a new picture of him for Mothers Day.

On to the pics, I hope you like.

If you’d like some family pictures taken, give me a call on 07952 447 345.

Cheshire Portrait Photography: My Boy is a BIG FIVE.

Today is Joshy’s birthday, he is FIVE!!! I can’t believe my little boy is now a big boy, in school and FIVE.

He had his party on Sunday, and afterwards we nipped to the studio to take a few pictures, whilst he was all dressed up as Superman.

Happy Birthday Pal, Love you so very much.

Cheshire Photographer Abroad: France Holiday

This year, we took our first trip abroad as a family. Carol and I have been to foreign parts together, but this was the first time since Josh was born.
We packed up our little touring van, booked onto the ferry and away we went. We had decided that France would be our destination, and we HAD to be close to Disneyland Paris.

We found the most wonderful caravan site, that even without Disney, this would have been a great holiday. La Croix du Vieux Pont was amazing, with 3 pools, waterslides, it’s own man-made beach and a bakery with freshly baked bread everyday (and Pain Creme – how I love Pain Creme). There were loads of extra things for everyone to do, some where free – some needed paying for….they had cards that you could buy, which got you some extra money on it.
We were about 20 minutes outside of Soissons, which is only 1 hour from Disneyland Paris…fantastic.
Josh now believes France to be the best place in the world ,I mean they have Disney, a caravan site with all the above on, and they have the Eiffel Tower – how can it not be awesome.
Now on to the images, these are just our arrival in France, travel to the site and around the actual site. Disneyland Paris and Our trip to Paris will be blogged soon.

There were no bluebirds over the White Cliffs of Dover on this day!!!

The Outside pool, you can see the inside pool just behind it, the kids pool – which is like a bath is just to side. Josh loved the pool

Josh loved playing on the beach, even more so that it was right outside the van.

That’s it for now, I’ll be blogging about the pool and other such fun during another blog….but I have the rest of the trip to get up first.

Another Family Fun Day: Manchester Photography

Well the first half of this year is nearly done and dusted. Compared to last year it’s been really slow….a combination of cancelled weddings, and a few postponed shoots. Add to that a few portraits who asked not to be blogged, and my blog has been rather quiet so far.

I have a few shoots coming up soon to start sharing, but the plus side is I get to spend more time with Carol and Josh, I like this part of it. We’ve had loads of days out, but I’ve chosen not to bore you with them, also Josh broke his arm so day trips did reduce slightly. He is well on the mend now, but still has a couple of weeks left with his cast on.

We headed over to Manchester Museum, I heard they had a great Dinosaur collection, which included a T-Rex, I knew Josh would love to see this, sadly there wasn’t much else other than Stan the T-Rex for Josh to marvel at there, but he did love seeing all the planets hanging from the wall.

They had a small exhibit all about China which was pretty cool.

HAHAHA, and then Josh saw a Samuri outfit, and decided that it must in fact be Darth Vader (yep Josh has become a geek:D)

We also found a room, Josh made himself a little butterfly hat. Next I need to convince Carol that another day trip to London would be good;)

Enjoy the Pictures.

Chester Photography: we went to the zoo

Today we headed to Chester Zoo for a couple of hours, we have annual membership so sometimes it’s great to just nip out for a little bit, especially if it’s really busy.

Josh was really excited to have a good run round seeing some of his favourite animals…….his most fave being the giraffes!!!

I’ve enjoyed having a quieter start to the year in regards to weddings, as I’ve been able to spend some extra time with Josh and Carol

I must admit, I love taking pictures of animals, when I was a kid I really wanted to be a Vet, not just any Vet, but a Zoo Vet – thanks to a crappy teacher who told me at 13 that I wasn’t clever enough, I never persued it – but I still love them.
