Wowsers, this post has been difficult to get to you guys. Some lovely person decided to HACK my webserver!!!! so it’s been a slow process sorting everything and testing, and tweaking settings (Thank You Geo for doing this!)
The other Saturday I met up with Alison and Matthew for their Eshoot (also known as a Pre Wedding Shoot). Alison and Matthew decided on Ness Gardens as the location, after the Sun over the past week, this overcast day almost felt like a let down, until you realise that us photographers love natures Softbox, the sky becomes this beautiful giant soft light, meaning no harsh shadows, no squinting.
We took a little walk around the gardens, just chatting to start with as I find this helps people relax, especially if their not used to being in front of the camera – in fact Alison is used to being behind the camera, and we generally don’t do as well on the other side of the lens, but Alison nailed it!
Alison and Matthew were a bit nervous, although, there really was no need. People sometimes forget, that photographers really want you to look good, unless you have a daft personality, we don’t want you to look daft. This makes us look bad![]()
We got chatting about how they met at a local pub, Matthew watching football, seeing Alison and suddenly forgetting anything else, and about how romantic Matt, proposed in the Lake District. These guys really are a sweet couple, who fit so well together.
I’m pretty sure this is going to be a fun wedding!
This was also my first couple shoot with the new camera….oh my, I LOVE IT!
Here is a quick sneak from todays Shoot, at Delamere Forest – I’ll explain what Scott and Steph are laughing at when I get the full post up

Wowsers, this shoot feels like it was a month of so ago, not just over a week.
Gary, who is a pretty good photographer, Kathryn and I headed off to Tatton Park, in the heart of Cheshire for their engagement shoot. We wasted no time and headed straight into the gardens there, and they are pretty fantastic….we were a little concerned about getting into Tatton itself as there was a classic car show all weekend, so we decided to wait until the afternoon before heading there. We wandered round taking some pictures, and we stumbled across this cool tower with some ivy growing on it…..awesome much!!!!
Gary brought his camera along, to get a shot for the 365 (a shot every day for a year) he is doing to count down to his wedding. Check out his 365 from the eshoot here. Don’t forget to check out his other shots. Gary says he felt a little uncomfortable in front of the camera, but I reckon he done alright. Kathryn, has little choice but to act naturally infront of the camera, as she is Garys chosen model most of the time, and she does it very well too.
I must admit, photographing a photographer does make you a little paranoid, what are they thinking? Not just the usual, I hope my couples love my work, but the whole technical side of it too. Thankfully, Gary is nice and laid back so we get along great.
I really loved shooting at Tatton, and I hope to get back there with other couples in the future, I am really looking forward to shoot Kathryn and Gary’s wedding in November, it’s going to be awesome, I just know it…..even with the load of photographers coming along as guests watching my every move![]()
