Cheshire Wedding Photography: Katy and Graham Runcorn Hill Eshoot

Last night I met up with Katy and Graham, at Runcorn Hill. I’ve spoken before about how much I love this place. The view has changed over the last couple of years, with a lot of building work going on. It’s still one of my favourite places to go for a walk around.
Katy and Graham, brought along their dogs, who had the energy of ten kids. Here is a sneak from their shoot last night.

Cheshire Wedding Photography: Carden Park Pre Wedding Shoot, with Claire and Ste

A couple of weeks back, I headed off on a photoshoot with Claire and Ste. We headed to a couple of spots around Runcorn – namely where they met and shared their first kiss, up to Runcorn Hill, which is a beautiful place (even more so, when it’s not been raining almost non-stop since for ever). Before we headed to Carden Park, where they are having their wedding reception in a few weeks, for some more pictures there.

I’m sure most people will remember the wedding of Leah and Mark (if not, click on their names and have a looksee). I only bring this up, because Ste is Mike’s (Marks bestman) brother, so I am very excited to catch up with lots of people. Mike is actually going to be doing something really awesome for the Mark Gorry Foundation next year, but more on that another time. This is the blog for Claire and Ste.

I love pre wedding shoots, they allow people to get to know me, and most importantly they get to see the way I work along with the results of it all. But they’re also great for allowing a couple to spend a bit of time together, where they can’t organise anything, there are no interruptions, so they get to enjoy being with their future husband/wife.

I had a lot of fun, hearing about how Claire and Ste met, finding out about their jobs, Ste and I talking football…sorry Claire. On to the pictures.

Cheshire Lifestyle Portraits: Happy Birthday Dear Wife

Today is Carol’s birthday. Joshy and I wanted to make her a card, doing what I do – it was always going to contain a picture. So Wednesday evening, Joshy and I headed out to get some pictures. Equipped with my camera, 2 flashes, 2 light stands, 1 tripod some flash triggers and a remote shutter release, we got set up, and fired off some test shots.

Luckily on Wednesday, after all the weather we’ve been having, the Sun made a brief appearance. We used this to the best we could.

My Darling wife, I hope you have an amazing birthday.

I’ve left some shots in here that most people would never see, this shows that it’s not always plain sailing getting pictures of kids.

Cheshire Wedding Photographer: Sarah and John, Alderley Edge Hotel Wedding

A couple of weeks back, I headed to the Alderley Edge Hotel, in Cheshire to Photograph the wedding of Sarah and John. I arrived early in the day, to photograph the preparations of Sarah and the girls, they had a gorgeous suite, right at the top of the hotel, with a bathroom about the size of my living room;). Sarah was so very relaxed, I don’t think I’ve met many brides as relaxed.

After capturing the girls getting hair and makeup done, I headed to the opposite side of the hotel to meet John, and his bestwoman. John was also very relaxed and chilled, and admiring the present that Sarah had gotten for him, a pair of football boots, owned by Paul Scholes, signed, and framed. Now, may be a god time to point out that not only is John a massive Man Utd fan, both Sarah and John both work for Man Utd. John had the boots pride of place on the bed, and was weighing up how to get them along on his honeymoon.

John’s bestwoman, Cate is also a big Utd fan, and John had managed to get her a pair of boots from Nemanja Vidic, and the first thing for Cate to do, is try them on!

Time was drawing near for the wedding, and still all was calm, it was making me nervous;)I helped the guys with their button holes, took a few shots and headed back to see how the girls were doing. At last, Nerves!! I felt better, now. Sarah was starting to feel a little nervous, but it was more to do with wanting to down stairs to marry her man!

The ceremony was beautiful, full of smiles and tears of joy. After the ceremony we had time for the group shots and a few couple shots before food and the speeches. I get to hear a lot of speeches, as you might guess. I love it, when people give honest, from the heart speeches above just getting jokes from the internet….the odd one thrown in now and then, can be pretty funny, but the best ones are from the heart. They tell you about the couple, you get to know them, and often get to know some pretty dark secrets about the groom. all the speeches here were brilliant, and a pleasure to listen too.

After the speeches, I got Sarah and John out for a few more photos, it was then time for the first dance, but not before John had a little surprise for his new wife, who happens to be a massive Stone Roses fan, in fact (and this really was a first) They had Sally Cinnamon, as their first dance. A signed picture from the Stone Roses, Sarah couldn’t have been any happier.

OK, on to the pictures, I hope you enjoy.
