Cheshire Wedding Photography: Julia and Paul’s Tatton Park Eshoot

A few weeks back, I had a wonderful afternoon with Julia and Paul, who had come up from that there fancy London, to see family and have their engagement shoot. They decided on Tatton Park, which is always a wonderful place to visit, and a fantastic place to photograph.

I will be photographing their wedding in a few months time, in Alsager, then Nantwich, and I’m really looking forward to it.

I really enjoy eShoots, as they are nice and relaxed, they allow me to get to know the couple, and they get to see how I work. This really helps nervous models, to relax in front of the camera. It also means that I can capture more natural shots on their wedding day, as they are not worried about the guy with the camera wandering around snapping away.

Anyway, onto the images from the day. I hope you enjoy.

Holiday Inn Runcorn Wedding: Alison and Matt’s Cheshire Wedding

A couple of weeks back, I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Alison and Matthew, a sweeter couple, you couldn’t wish to meet. It was a nice to photograph in Runcorn, as I often shoot away from this little town in Cheshire. Everyone was a little worried, as the weather during this drought had been nothing but rain, we were pleasantly surprised on the day to see some blue skies.

I started the day off with Alison, who was doing remarkably well, and staying very calm, unlike her mum and sister who were on the verge of crying with happiness at any moment. Seeing Alison in her dress, set them over the edge.

I left the house, and headed down to St Michaels church to meet Matt, and his Bestman, Ian. Ian had a duel role to play on this day, not only was he bestman, but he has just become a dad, and little Jacob had arrived only just in time to allow him to be there. For a baby, still only days old, he was amazingly content and seemed to know to not cry too much in church, unlike a couple of the bridesmaids.

This was the first time I had shot in St Michaels Church, and it was stunning inside, the perfect setting for a wonderful wedding. It was wonderful to be able to have that bit of freedom to move around to capture different shots.

The ceremony, was being held at The Holiday Inn, Runcorn, Cheshire. The weather was still being kind, so we managed to get outside for a few shots before it was time for the meal.

The speeches, were beautifully heartfelt and humorously honest, two families coming together to be one.

At the evening reception, it was great to see Phil, from Celebration Boutique, who supplied the gorgeous chocolate fountain, as I shot his wedding last year, and he came up to see me recently for a bit of training for his new camera.

The first dance brought back so many memories for me, as they had the same song as I did, Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton.

And now, on to the pictures of this most wonderful wedding.

Cheshire Wedding Photographer: Sarah and John, Alderley Edge Hotel Wedding

A couple of weeks back, I headed to the Alderley Edge Hotel, in Cheshire to Photograph the wedding of Sarah and John. I arrived early in the day, to photograph the preparations of Sarah and the girls, they had a gorgeous suite, right at the top of the hotel, with a bathroom about the size of my living room;). Sarah was so very relaxed, I don’t think I’ve met many brides as relaxed.

After capturing the girls getting hair and makeup done, I headed to the opposite side of the hotel to meet John, and his bestwoman. John was also very relaxed and chilled, and admiring the present that Sarah had gotten for him, a pair of football boots, owned by Paul Scholes, signed, and framed. Now, may be a god time to point out that not only is John a massive Man Utd fan, both Sarah and John both work for Man Utd. John had the boots pride of place on the bed, and was weighing up how to get them along on his honeymoon.

John’s bestwoman, Cate is also a big Utd fan, and John had managed to get her a pair of boots from Nemanja Vidic, and the first thing for Cate to do, is try them on!

Time was drawing near for the wedding, and still all was calm, it was making me nervous;)I helped the guys with their button holes, took a few shots and headed back to see how the girls were doing. At last, Nerves!! I felt better, now. Sarah was starting to feel a little nervous, but it was more to do with wanting to down stairs to marry her man!

The ceremony was beautiful, full of smiles and tears of joy. After the ceremony we had time for the group shots and a few couple shots before food and the speeches. I get to hear a lot of speeches, as you might guess. I love it, when people give honest, from the heart speeches above just getting jokes from the internet….the odd one thrown in now and then, can be pretty funny, but the best ones are from the heart. They tell you about the couple, you get to know them, and often get to know some pretty dark secrets about the groom. all the speeches here were brilliant, and a pleasure to listen too.

After the speeches, I got Sarah and John out for a few more photos, it was then time for the first dance, but not before John had a little surprise for his new wife, who happens to be a massive Stone Roses fan, in fact (and this really was a first) They had Sally Cinnamon, as their first dance. A signed picture from the Stone Roses, Sarah couldn’t have been any happier.

OK, on to the pictures, I hope you enjoy.
