Alicia Hotel, Liverpool Wedding Photography: Jayne and Paul’s Wedding

A Couple of weeks back, I had the honour of photographing a wedding for someone I have become good friends with in the run up to her Wedding. Jayne and Paul are a wonderful couple, they are good people. I am proud to consider them friends.

I started the day at Jayne’s mums and we found a theme of cups of tea and keeping calm, which is always a good think for bridal preperation, as tensions are can start running high – not here though, everything seemed to flow effortlessly, and I seemed to be able to find somewhere awesome to photograph, I wonder if Jayne’s mum wants to hire out her back garden to me? anyway, the girls were soon ready, and wedding time was fast approaching, and excitiement was increasing!!

Then over to the Alicia Hotel, Liverpool . I thought the outside of the hotel looked great, but when I reached where the wedding was to be held I was very impressed, it looked amazing. At the hotel I met up with Paul and his best man, and they both made me feel very very short, as they are both well over 6 foot 4, so finding a chair I took some pics of them.

Then it was time for Jaynes arrival, she glided down the stairs, to a very lucky guy, and he knows it too. I have been blessed by ceremonies full of laughter, and brides and grooms happy to show how much they love each other, it certainley makes my job so much easier.

After the ceremony Jayne and Paul headed off to Sefton Park, swiftly followed by myself and Simon (my assistant for the day). There we spent as much time as we could enjoying the surroundings, and letting Jayne and Paul, enjoy some time with each other, but making sure we got some awesome images along the way.

We arrived back just in time for the speeches, beautiful and honest speeches and another funny bestman! Brilliant.

Now to the images. Enjoy.

I mentioned the keeping calm didn’t I, there were a few put the kettle on ones too.

I would also like to thank the staff at the Alicia for being great, and accomodating – not just for us photographers – but also towards the guests and especially the couple. They just made sure everything was perfect.
