On Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Genna & Phil at Pryors Hayes. We had a blast. Here is a sneak for y’all
Monthly Archives: September 2011
My first memory of Ruth takesme back to my early teenage years. We met in High School way back when, I was a bit of a geek, even way back then. I know you’re all shocked by that. Ruth was in the cool crowd, so it took a while to actually speak to each other, but when we did, she happily shared my biscuits during our trips rock climbing.
Fast Forward too many years, and that brings us to 2011, the year of Ruth’s marriage to Ben, who is one lucky guy.
I headed over to The Village Hotel, Warrington to cover the bridal prep, before taking the short drive to St John the Evangelist in Walton. Here I met Ben. Now here is the thing about Ben, he volunteered to go to Afghanastan with the TA, there aren’t many people who would volunteer to do this, so Ben gets a big thumbs up and thanks from me. They were also on the tv show, The T.A. and the Taliban
After the ceremony we had some time for some awesome pictures, before Ruth and Ben had to get back to all their friends and family at The Walton Arms for their wedding breakfast. It is here that my part in the story ends, but I hear that it was one heck of a party later on.
Right on to the pics.

The Dress!
Love this shot.
Ruth was very proud of of her Hoody!
Getting the music on her camouflaged iPhone, as Ruth is also in the TA
Somebody is happy to have her dress on.

Did I mention that Ruth was one of the hottest girls at school, Ben you’re a lucky, lucky man![]()

Ben, with Best Man, and Ruth and Bens son, Cohen.
It’s Wedding Time!
Ben doesn’t look nervous at all
I’d like to thank everyone at the Church for allowing me a bit of freedom to be able to capture this moment.

The ceremony was full of smiles, and laughter.
They Did It!

The inside of the church was gorgeous.
Walking out as Husband and Wife.
I still don’t know why they were eating confetti.
Bouquet Toss!!!
We have a winner.
Then I got time to get some relaxed portraits with Ruth and Ben

Did I mention Ruth was hot![]()

A Few weeks back, I was called upon to second for my very good friend, and amazing fellow photographer Tony Fanning down in that there Wales. So I jumped in the car and left Cheshire in the North West and headed down the motorway to a beautiful church right on the coast in Wales. It was a stunning day, and a wonderful group of people to photograph, the wedding was full of laughter, smiles and love.
I met David and the guys at the church, and got some pics of people arriving at the venue, and generally having a good time. After the Church we headed over to the reception venue Bron Eifion country house, Criccieth. There we had the wonderful grounds at our disposal, and we certainley tried to make the most of them.

David, the groom
This is my first time trying this, caught dad and his son…had to stitch it together.
Love how the guys often have a great laugh, before the ceremony.
This is David as he sees his Bride for the first time.
Thank you mr Vicar for allowing us to capture the action from up front.
I love getting these shots during the ceremony
The first Kiss
David and Ellen, then went to sit back whilst some friends gave a couple of readings.
More wonderful laughter
I like this shot, very much.
Whilst Tony was getting ready for some of the shots, I was able to capture these.
Then, we got the bridesmaids to sit on the wall.
Natural shots like these, along with the more dramtic styled images are what make wedding photography great.
Ellen has such a great, infectuous laugh
Cutting the cake.
I caught these inbetween being a voice activated lightstand for Tony.
This little guy just had to see what we were up to.
I caught this wonderful moment as I was walking back after capturing a shot of Tony working his magic, I want to print this big.
A wonderful moment from the first dance.
