Cheshire Portrait Photography: Delamere Lifestyle Session

So last week, I was lucky enough to spend a few hours with the Murphy/Worthington family. I actually went to the same school as Scott, although he was in my brothers year. It was great to catch up with him again after quite a long time!

We decided to head to Delamere Forest for a relaxing stroll, for everyone, except the wally who decided to lug all his kit around the place with him – I really must learn to travel lighter.

The kids led the way, and we ended up travelling up and down some immense hills, apparently this is how most of their walks end up, and Scott has to somehow navigate the pram down to the bottom of the hill, without falling or tripping, he makes it look sooooo easy;)

After a bit of a hike, we found a great spot to do what boys to best and throw some stones into the water, which quickly became a game of who could hit the branch sticking out of the water the most.

We took a couple of family portraits, and then I stole Scott and Steph away for 2 minutes, I had them walking up the road holding hands and being all romantic…..when Ethan starts singing the wedding march, cue much laughing from all involved, brilliant!!!!

After what felt like hardly any time, it was time to start heading back to the car, via a detour or two…..I was then informed that getting lost was all part of the adventure of a family walk, was I glad when we found the car park again!!!

I hope y’all enjoy the pics.

Luke was wondering why we didn’t go the same way as him – could be Jude’s pram wasn’t designed for that much off road;)

Having Races, Ehtan got a little head start!

I had a blast hanging with the Murphs, Cheers guys!!!

Manchester Photography: Another family day out!

With us all being off together this week, we’ve headed out a few times, although Wednesday I was off by myself to hear a great photographer give a talk about Wedding Photography, Joe Buissink. This guy has shot for so may Hollywood stars, Steven Spielberg rates him as one of his favourite photographers and Joe photographed his 60th birthday party!! That being said, Joe is still pretty down to earth, and loves passing on knowledge to help other photographers learn.

But enough about that, this is all about our family day out to Manchester Trafford Centre and the Legoland Discovery Centre there. What a fantastic day we had there…..if you’ve not been, then get there and try it out.

Firstly we met Prof Brick who gave us a tour of his factory, we then took a walk around miniland, way cool. Josh got to jump into the lego and had a great time building things…..we then headed into the 4D cinema (yes people, 4D….you have to see it).

Car building and racing was also lots of fun, Josh even came 1st in a race and grabbed himself a certificate. After he put the car down the jump track, right into the BOX OF DOOM!!!! most cars break apart here….not Josh’s still in one piece, we Heesom’s know how to build cars eh;)

Josh then hit the soft play area, and we struggled to get him off there, to go build an Elephant…not a full size one, that would take a while;)

We all had a fantastic day, and can not wait to go back.

Liverpool Photograhper: Family Day Out!

We had a great day yesterday, It started with a train ride in to Liverpool – Josh loves having a ride on the train.  We then headed off to Liverpool World Museum, where Josh wanted to see the fish, bugs, dinosaurs and space, but not Egypt because he doesn’t like it (It’s Mummy’s favourite bit, so we had a quick visit).

Josh really enjoyed walking around the museum, and he really loves the bits that he can touch things. There is a great area where you can touch skulls and bones, look at bugs under a microscope. Josh even tried his hand at deciding which things on a tray were animal, vegetable or mineral (he only got 3 wrong – which was better than me)

We also headed into the planetarium, firstly to see the winter sky at night, being shown where the constellations are, Josh was a bit unsure with the pitch black….but loved seeing the stars. We then headed for some lunch at the awesome red Hot World Buffet, and a bit of shopping. Josh got to go to his favourite shop, Everton Two!!! We also treated him to his first visit to World’s Apart, the most geeky place in the world. Josh bought his first  comic (Superman 707).

We then went back to the planetarium for a big show on the planets, and the movement of the stars and constellation during the year, seeing the sky spin was a little weird, kinda like seeing time speed up.

We had a fantastic family day, and we recommend everyone to head there.

Cheshire Photography: Delamere Family Shoot
