This is the wedding, that I was a last minute subsitute on. A good friend needed an operation a few days before the wedding. So I stepped in to fulfill his contract for him. That is why it is incredibly usefull to have a good network of photographers around you.
I started the day with Kay, whislt she was getting ready, with her sister Jane, and Jane’s daughter Grace. Kay was super giddy, and happy – not a sign of nerves anywhere to be seen. I’d been hearing rumours about this wedding for a while, as I know Jane, so I was looking forward to seeing the wedding shoes (not in the fetish way you’re thinking). CONVERSE!!! How frickin’ cool!
Kay’s workplace sent up some gifts, 3 bottles of champagne…..Kay was VERY happy with these, in fact she told us not to tell Pete…..oops.
I then headed off to the Best Man’s house for some shots of the guys getting ready, and another cool thing going on, with some Super Hero t-shirts. I was having a good time already, and we were only just beginning.
The wedding was at Runcorn Town Hall, we’re very lucky to have a beautiful building like this here. The guests were arriving, the weather was really kind to them too.
The ceremony was filled with laughter, as Kay just couldn’t stop, well she could for the first kiss. Afterwards, we took some time for pictures, before heading over to Runcorn War Memorial Club “The Warmy” for some food, drink and a good ole knees up.
I hope you love the pics guys. Enjoy.

Jane
Waiting to become a Mrs
Nervous? Nope
It’s ok, Pete neither.
I still love the first time Brides and Grooms see each other.
Did I mention, Kay laughed during the ceremony
She still smiling here.
There are some cool pieces of art in the Town Hall, Runcorn, Cheshire
Outside, throwing Confetti
Shoes, ok ok, I may have a problem.
I love this one.
Our Beautiful Bride
This shot makes me smile.
I was enjoying our late bloom of sunshine, and thought I should include it in a shot.
Pete likes the statue, but couldn’t quite figure it out.
The Happy Couple.
They braved the autumn chill, to enjoy a drive with the top down.
Kay made the cake topper herself, and as people say Pete has a big head, she gave him a big head.
The corner of remembrance, including Kays mum, her grandparents, and her Cat.
Going all Gansta!!!
The speeches were not kind to Pete, but he took it VERY well.
Kay found it all rather amusing.
Petes speech included a poem, which began Your name is Kay, which rhymes with Gay, which is what everyone thought I was….it was a top top poem.
The evening came, and the dancers came out in force.
I remember when I was that age, dancing was either just swaying side to side, or trying to be Michael Jackson style moonwalk/thriller
First Dance.
