North Wales Wedding Photographer, Gillian and Stephen Betws Y Coed Wedding

I always tell people I like to shoot non-traditional wedding photography…..well these guys had a non-traditional wedding. I tagged along with my good buddy and awesome photographer Tony Fanning

No first dance, it’s just not them – They had an i-pod

No cake cutting, they had little individual cakes that looked awesome.

Stephens dad performed the ceremony in Bryngwran on Anglesea, making the day even more personal to them.

Stephen actually picked the material that was used in his waistcoat. I likes it. Stephen is the most laid back guy I have ever met, I used to think it was me!!! I bow down to him!

In between the wedding venue and the Royal Oak Hotel in Betws y Coed we stopped somewhere along the way, I have no idea of where it actually is but the mountain in the background is Trefan, Gillian wanted shots there and she made sure got them.

Very few brides would happily kick off their shoes and climb up on top of a 10 foot rock…this one would….very awesome.

Not content with a normal honeymoon, these guys are off to Borneo on an adventure holiday. Have an amazing time guys.

Peter & Kelly, Wedding Holiday Inn Runcorn

I’ve been looking forward to this wedding since they booked me back in April, Peter and Kelly are just plain ole fun to hang with.

We had a blast on the e-shoot, which can be found here. We even got over Kellys dislike of being photographed….bonus!

Now Kelly didn’t want any preperation shots of her doing, but she loved some of the dress shots I’ve taken in the past, so I agreed to photograph her dress before heading off to the hotel.

The wedding took place at The Holiday Inn, Runcorn. The folks there worked tirelessly to have it all looking great.

As time ticked on Peter began to get very nervous indeed, but Kelly showed up and everyone got their lines right, so it worked out well.

Time was a little tight so we busted through the formals, then on to some cool stuff…….Got this wonderful portrait of Kelly, should I be pleased that I made her cry? with happiness I might add;).

They also had a pool table at the hotel, which both Kelly and Peter wanted a shot at, there was a little disagreement over who was the better pool player, but I got Peter to help Kelly with her technique, and whisper sweet nothings into her ear…..I think it was anything but sweet though.

OK on with the pics, you have read enough. Have a great time away Mr & Mrs Rossiter, we’ll catch up when you get back.

Ruth and Con, North Wales Wedding Photography

Well on Saturday I was lucky enough to be shooting with my good friend Tony Fanning. I joined him at the wedding of Ruth and Con. I really couldn’t have wished for better weather, a better location or a better couple. These guys were two of the nicest people I have ever met.

They married in St. Hillary`s church in Llanrhos, a beautiful and intimate church, and the reception at Meifod Country House just outside of Caenarvon I’ve been lucky enough to shoot there before, and the folks there do a wonderful job of having everything just perfect, and a brief stop over at Conwy Castle.

Right on with my selection. I hope the bride is on time

Holidays, Rain and Chickenpox

My oh my, what an eventful time we had.
Having had the privilege of photographing weddings in Wales, I know how beautiful the place is.
Our caravan site was no exception, placed just 10 miles from Caernarvon; we were right on the coast, less than 500 yards to the beach. Josh was really happy….the weather report wasn’t the best, but we were on holiday!!!!!

The weather report didn’t quite go far enough…..the winds rocked the van, the rain pelted us whenever we tried to leave. Even so we occasionally got out in between rainstorms. In Llanberis, they were having a teddybears picnic, so Big Bear brought Josh along to meet some of his friends.
as usual, click on an image to see the larger version.

This guy and his two friends would get into our field every other day, they wanted to eat the bushes behind the caravan.

We tried going to Rhyl Sun Centre, we were 2 days too late as it only opens weekends from 1st September:(oh dear!!!

the next morning, nature served up the final blow to our holiday….Chickenpox, poor Josh….so spotty we named him Pongo (the daddy dog from 101 Dalmatians), yeah we’re mean like that….but home we can as we didn’t want Cabin Fever to set in.

We did take a trip out to Barmouth yesterday, which was just amazing.
