A Bit of personal stuff

Well I had a weekend off….so we went and spent some family time together.

Josh and I got some much needed hair cuts.

Sunday we all went to the pictures. We saw Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs…..I was pretty impressed, Josh loved it. I’m sorry fellow cimema goers but he’s going to be a belly laugher like his dad.

We are going off in our little caravan again this weekend so expect some posting upon my return.

But being busy hasn’t stopped me having some family fun, and I thought I’d share some pictures with you.

Mollie and Simon, 15 August. Cheshire Wedding Photography

What an awesome day.

Mollie and Simon actually got married before today, but to them that was just the legalities of it all. August 15th was their wedding day. Every little detail of the day was personal to Mollie and Simon.
The Ceremony in garden of Simons’ mum. The pictures of them both hanging from trees. The Sign outside the drive of the house. Mollie and Simon had planned it all.

Click on a pic to see a bigger version of it.

Mollies family are from the states, they were hoping for a British Summers day (and I don’t mean rain). Thankfully the weather decided to bless the day, with wonderful sunshine that really showed of the garden in it’s element.

Rather than a traditional meal, they had the most wonderful smelling Cook Out (I believe the B word is bad luck), I’m just sorry that I got too caught up in the photos to sample it. I thought Mollie was going to shout at me for not eating.;)

The Speeches were wonderful, funny and eloquent, again, very personal to the bride and groom. I’ll spare Mollie and Simon the blushes of the pictures displayed during the best mans speech, but they were funny.

Mollie’s brother played a game so everyone could get to know each other a little better, how well do you know Mollie and Simon….with questions such as how many children does Simon claim to want? 5 and who makes the best chocolate cake? apparently it is Simon.

Mollie left her flowers on a chair whilst she mingled with her guests, I mean how could I resist?

The ground was still a little soft from the rain we’ve been getting a lot of lately, which is no good for heels.

Nanny with Grandkids and Great Grandkids Runcorn Portrait Photography

Well on Saturday morning, I met with Amy Ward outside her house to shoot a photo for her nan.

I was told, I want a pic for my nan of her grandkids……unfortunately not all of them could make it.

but 35…yes blog readers, 35 grandchildren/great grandchildren…..I think it is safe to say, that this is one buzy family;)

Normally a get together like this is left for the “big” occasions such as weddings, birthdays or funerals. So it was great to see that these guys made the effort to get together for someone really important, without it their birthday, just for the love!!!

It was fun meeting everyone, even if it is a bit of a mad family;)

Susan Box, Penketh High Prize. Warrington Portrait Photographer

Wow blog readers, I have been pretty busy, with shooting and meetings. This is meant to be the cool stuff, but I had this guilty feeling for not blogging it all.

So this is where I try to make things right.

Last Thursday was the shoot, but this story begins much earlier. Back to February 2009, Gareth Brandwood, an old school buddy from way back, contacted me on Face Book, if you’re on there look me up. Join my fan page too.

Any back to Gareth, his daughter goes to Penketh High School and they are raising money for a World Challenge expedition to Nambia next year. Website here. Basically people helping people….go on you guys.

So I hit him up with a free portrait shoot. On the night my prize helped raise somewhere in the region of £1400.00.

Mrs Susan Box won, we scheduled a shoot for 1 August…..but rain called off play, so we rescheduled for this past Thursday, thankfully the rain threatened but it held off.

Susan came along with her husband, Frank; their nephew, Russell, came along too.

So on with the pics
