So one of the stalls at Focus on Imaging was the aminmoto guys, these slideshows look great – so i thought I would have a little play with a wedding from last year, one of those I shot with Mr Tony Fanning, Bethan and Mike.
Monthly Archives: February 2009
Well yesterday I went along with Tony Fanning, a good friend and fellow photographer who I sometimes shoot with to Focus on Imaging – its the industry event for Photographers, Album Makers, and all sorts of toys and goodies of the photography and accessory type.
I came back with some Pocket Wizards – oh the joy….but more on them later.
We met up with another tog, Bob Whetton.
All 3 of us are Canon shooters and there is this sort of rivalry between Canon and Nikon shooters over which is the best brand. notice how I put Canon first![]()
To be honest (and I may well be shot for this) there is not alot in it, both have great pluses and some negatives.
But it appears Bob is defecting to the dark side![]()
Tony had a play with an amazingly expensive lens – Canon 600 mm f4 lens, retails at around £7500, needless to say neither of us bought it. These are used mostly by sports and wildlife photographers, although I could probably shoot most weddings from the comfort of my home with it :p
Tony then had a nap at the microsoft stall, as no one was visiting them.
We saw some mini teeny albums that you could make for clients – the cutter alone cost £1000 this made Bob gulp!!!!
then a couple of shots of all three of us on our geeky day out.
