Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Mitchell……

…..Poppy and Danny.
They were married Friday 14th November 2008, at Runcorn Town Hall.
I turned up to photograph Poppy getting prepared and was greeted by a bacon butty (take note everyone else;))

It still surprises me how long it actually takes to do the hair and make up, but I think everyone agreed that it was worth the wait.

I then had to dash off to catch up with Danny and his bestman and brother Sean. I got there just in time, I got about 2 minutes with him before they were called inside by the registrar.

Poppy arrived in her stretch carriage, a couple of shots and she was off to be married.

It was a nice ceremony, and happily the bestman had not lost the rings (he was obviously doing his job well – Danny turned up looking smart, and he had the rings) good job Sean!!

Then we had the formals to do, I must confess I find them boring, for me, they don’t bring anything to the wedding – and I think that the photos should. But Aunts and Uncles, parents, grandparents, all expect them to be done, thankfully Poppy and Dans list was a short one, which gave us more time for some fun shots.

So a big thank you to Poppy and Danny for being such great guys, I know you’re goingto have a great life together.

Portrait Day – I shot 17 kids and 10 Adults…..

…legally of course

Well Saturday 8th November was the day that saw me photograph 17 Kids and 10 adults.
Many said I was mad, others said I was brave……..and they maybe right, but I had a blast.

1st up were the Rogers Family. I actually went to school with John so it was great to see him again. I got to meet his lovely wife Sarah and their kids Nic and Liam.

Di Molyneux, brought her grandkids, Jack, Bradley and Milly, in. Poor Bradley wasn’t feeling too well, but we still managed to get a few shots of him.

Now for what I thought would be the hardest portrait shoot to date….in came 8 Kids and 5 Adults……….GULP! What a fun group! so well behaved – This could be due to the fear of nan (Chris). We got done really quick and had a good laugh along the way.

I will be seeing a few of these folks at a wedding this coming Friday 14th Novemeber, when I get the honour of capturing Poppy and Dans big day.

Now lastly, I wish all kids had so many ideas on how they wished to be shot, of course I mean this in a photographic sense;)

My Good friend Mary McCarthy brought her grandkids in – and they dragged they’re mum in.
Alex and Danielle were great.
