Big Congratulations to Jayne and Paul, who have won an amazing Di-Wall Art for their home.

Big Congratulations to Jayne and Paul, who have won an amazing Di-Wall Art for their home.

Where to start? Take Phat is made up of four wonderful guys, Si, Clarkey, Oz & Faz. Si, Clarkey and I actually go way back to the old days, when I had long hair, and played guitar in a band called, Almost. The year was 1997, I started my music course, not knowing anyone, all I had was my guitar and a handful of dreams. Day One, some loud kid, would never shut up…and I mean eve, he talked all the time….soon, it was my turn to be talked at, played to…then asked what I could play. Crap! erm! first thing that came to mind was Layla, by Eric Clapton – but the unplugged version.
Next thing, this loud kid (I say kid, he was nearly 2 years young than me), was dragging me round to meet his friend and show him what I could play. The loud one was Simon, he still talks a lot! His mate, Peter Clarke. Back then Si played drums, and comparisons to Animal (from The Muppets) were pretty accurate. Almost was born, we needed a Bassist (Cliffey – but he doesn’t feature much in the rest of this story) and Almost was born, we toured Runcorn & Widnes, far and wide our Roadies (parents) droves us, all the way from the top end of Widnes, to the bottom end of Runcorn, we didn’t make it out of the Northwest.
Then times changed, musical differences happened and we went our separate ways. I still have one of our jam sessions on cassette tape somewhere.
Simon got in touch via facebook, and said that these guys needed some pictures taken. The date was set, and we all met up. It was like stepping back in time, laughing and joking just like we always had. But it was time to get to work. I was treated to a couple of songs first, what can I say….the were brilliant. I took some shots of the guys performing, then it was time to get some group and individual shots of the guys. Then they sprung on me that they had brought clown suits and make up with them. I’ve read IT, by Stephen King. Clowns are pretty freaky, but I’m a professional – I could handle four grown men, dressed as clowns, occasionally gyrating against each other (at least my therapist tells me, I’ll get through it). Clown suits and make up on, I took a shot of each of them, as they were ready.
A couple of group shots and I then got treated to more songs, brilliant! On to the pics!
Thanks for a great evening guys, I had a real blast, catching up and hanging out with you.

This is the lads version of Take That and Party![]()

Well 2011, it’s now behind us. It was a year with ups and downs…I chose to shoot a few less weddings this year as we moved house (which happened later than we hoped), but I also ended up with 4 cancelled weddings![]()
On the happy side, I did make some amazing new friends in 2011, and caught up with some old ones.I also Photographed some fantastic weddings. I truly, am blessed to be able to do what I do. At the end of 2011, I also managed to find some space to set up my studio gear – so expect to see quite a bit more of that over the next few months.
Please vote for your favourite image below, the couple with the most votes will win a fabulous prize from me. a 24×16 inch Di Wall Art Print. These things have to be seen, they are simply stunning.
So don’t forget to vote, tell your friends, get them to tell their friends and so on and so on. The winning image received over 4000 votes last year, which was down to some very hard work on the couples part.
The Closing date is 31 January, when I get on to check the votes some time in the morning, I’ll take a screen shot and announce the winner later that day.
So on with the images.

Today is Joshy’s birthday, he is FIVE!!! I can’t believe my little boy is now a big boy, in school and FIVE.
He had his party on Sunday, and afterwards we nipped to the studio to take a few pictures, whilst he was all dressed up as Superman.
Happy Birthday Pal, Love you so very much.

This is the wedding, that I was a last minute subsitute on. A good friend needed an operation a few days before the wedding. So I stepped in to fulfill his contract for him. That is why it is incredibly usefull to have a good network of photographers around you.
I started the day with Kay, whislt she was getting ready, with her sister Jane, and Jane’s daughter Grace. Kay was super giddy, and happy – not a sign of nerves anywhere to be seen. I’d been hearing rumours about this wedding for a while, as I know Jane, so I was looking forward to seeing the wedding shoes (not in the fetish way you’re thinking). CONVERSE!!! How frickin’ cool!
Kay’s workplace sent up some gifts, 3 bottles of champagne…..Kay was VERY happy with these, in fact she told us not to tell Pete…..oops.
I then headed off to the Best Man’s house for some shots of the guys getting ready, and another cool thing going on, with some Super Hero t-shirts. I was having a good time already, and we were only just beginning.
The wedding was at Runcorn Town Hall, we’re very lucky to have a beautiful building like this here. The guests were arriving, the weather was really kind to them too.
The ceremony was filled with laughter, as Kay just couldn’t stop, well she could for the first kiss. Afterwards, we took some time for pictures, before heading over to Runcorn War Memorial Club “The Warmy” for some food, drink and a good ole knees up.
I hope you love the pics guys. Enjoy.
Shoes and Flowers
Can you guess who Kay loves?
Sending a text to hubby to be.

Grace, all dressed up, and looking like a little lady
Jane
Waiting to become a Mrs
Nervous? Nope
It’s ok, Pete neither.
I still love the first time Brides and Grooms see each other.
Did I mention, Kay laughed during the ceremony
She still smiling here.
There are some cool pieces of art in the Town Hall, Runcorn, Cheshire
Outside, throwing Confetti
Shoes, ok ok, I may have a problem.
I love this one.
Our Beautiful Bride
This shot makes me smile.
I was enjoying our late bloom of sunshine, and thought I should include it in a shot.
Pete likes the statue, but couldn’t quite figure it out.
The Happy Couple.
They braved the autumn chill, to enjoy a drive with the top down.
Kay made the cake topper herself, and as people say Pete has a big head, she gave him a big head.
The corner of remembrance, including Kays mum, her grandparents, and her Cat.
Going all Gansta!!!
The speeches were not kind to Pete, but he took it VERY well.
Kay found it all rather amusing.
Petes speech included a poem, which beganĀ Your name is Kay, which rhymes with Gay, which is what everyone thought I was….it was a top top poem.
The evening came, and the dancers came out in force.
I remember when I was that age, dancing was either just swaying side to side, or trying to be Michael Jackson style moonwalk/thriller
First Dance.
